    msd blaster coil

Anyone have the part number for the correct msd blaster coil 2?

Is it 8202 or 8203? Or any other that works?

For a stock engine there's no advantage to be gained from an MSD coil.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

there would only be a gain if you were experiencing spark blow out and/or had an ECU capable of setting dwell manually.

since you are unlikely to be turbo'd or have engine management the only reason to "upgrade" would be if your stock coil was dead and you happened to get a good deal.

is there any real gains to be had with 6al box and a blaster coil on an NA motor using the motronic 1.3 or is it better off with the MS in addition?

that's why I have one, my stock one corrodded itself to the dizzy wire, and I picked up the MSD for $32 (this was two years ago) vs. about $70 for an "oem" coil.
