    ignition overhaul

    So I finished my ignition overhaul today and boy was it more of a bitch than I anticipated. The three bolts on the distributor killlllled me. I ended up removing two of the coolant hoses to make it work. I dont have huge hands but damn! i never wanna do that again. After the mark D chip and injectors, the car runs great. Next up O2 sensor. Anyone else hate changing the distributor? did i miss something that makes it a HELL of a lot easier.

        I need to do this. I have the spark plugs done, but everything else is on the to do list. How much was everything and where'd you get it?

            arizona autohaus had the best prices i could find. I didnt search extremely hard, but only used places i havent had trouble with. I got the wires from partsgeek for about 112 which was a LOT less then i could them anywhere else. I got the rotor/cap/plugs from arizona autohaus. i think they were 16/50ish/2.80 respectively. everything came when they said they would and so far they are performing well!

              cap and rotor arn't THAT hard to replace, just takes a 1/4 drive socket and some wiggling

                I remove the fan & shroud. Relatively easy then.

                  removing the fan and shroud would def help;). After removing the hoses the job went smoothly. I dont know why i didnt remove them before i started. And yes a 1/4 socket saved my life.
