yes. i bolted the flange to a spare head i had(no cam) then i took a slip wrench and pulled that thing right out without messing up the bore.My feedback:

I supported the flange on two blocks and gently tapped the seal out with a hammer and screwdriver.-Kalim

If you screw it up, I have an extra housing in a box. Located in north raleigh. I was worried about breaking mine as well when I swapped it out a couple of weeks ago. Ended up using a large socket and braced the housing over 2 2x4's
you can help me with my engineering (civil) homework in exchange..lol'87 325ic, powered by S50.
