    Broken Rocker Arm Question?

    Hey,

So i got a broken Rocker arm on my M20 (Cylinder number 6)....it's all fixed and got the valve adjusted too.

But since i only got the broken rocker arm replaced not all of them, could this problem happen again?

what causes this problem to happen anyway? Weak Head?

While some folks claim that operation at the high end of the rpm band causes rocker arm failure, I've also seen them fail on automatic street cars that never see the upper end of the rpm band. Accordingly my theory is that the arms fail from repetitive shock loading that results from a lack of timely valve adjustments perhaps aggravated by worn valve guides.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Caused entirely by lunar cycles, nothing short of witchcraft will fix them permanently

        oh i see.

Well i told them to throw a new: timing belt, Tensioner, Spark plugs+wires also put my stock airbox back.

I can see the Reliability walking it's way to me finally Lol.

What about a water pump and seals while they are in there?

that, and fatigue of the metal, and soft valve springs leading to float.

You do know you have to pull the timing belt to change the water pump, correct?

Hmmm GRAF water pump was $60 or so. Timing belt kit was $35 or so, add a few bux for a couple of seals, get on with it.
