I wonder if those extrude a body ones are 45mm at the bellmouth or if its the bore of the throttles. Looks like they offer extension pieces to make the runner length tunable......mmm

Would be a good project to make your own GRP/CFRP plenum to allow the use of a single filter and allow CAI

As for extrude honing who says that the runners are not already oversized and there for making them bigger will be counter productive?
well I don't know about you, but I'm pulling 5-10kpa of vacuum with the stock manifold/TB at WOT. the filter is only about 2-3kpa - I'd think an opened up manifold and TB would help me for sure (in fact I have one to put on, someday!).

it has been my experience that the stock throttle body is more than adequate for an 2.5L motor. It is not until you bore and stroke 2.8 and beyond that you need to get more air in.

we have a 2.5 at 12:1 with a 300+ cam still on a single throttle body that has been extruded.

In all realty a $3000 investment into the engine of a $4000 car makes no sense. I was just saying I have a $4000 to go to "finish" my car, and I just laugh. It is the dumbest project I have ever done and that I can never get even 10% of my investment back just make me laugh at myself.
wasn't speaking to your post. More of a question to the OP. it can make sense if you've already done everything else, the stock manifold definitely could be improved, and ITBs are an obvious choice. But if all you've done is chip, exhaust and maybe a cam, I have to ask, why?

I really want the best set up for my build, that will give me driveability, and will be durable. Do you think that just honing my intake manifold will be better than itb's, if you think so why? Thanx.

ITBs come on mad powerful engines. Therefore, adding ITBs = magick.

hey.. why buying plug n play kits ?

    make your own :)

use the m21 crank and 135 eagle rods with custom made pistons.. the 2.7 you get out of that will easily last for 850whp

I was thinking about making a few M20 ITB setups, I just dont think there is an inexpensive way to do it right. I think I could do it, at my cost for around $2k, which means I would need to sell it for around $3k, and from there why not just buy the Dblias which looks alot nicer than I can do. Im not convinced the performance gain is worth the price. That said, I may be dumb enough to do it anyways!
