    i want to know

    i want to put an electric fan in my car. i would like to know wht size i should use, a 14" or a 16" fan? if any one can help it would be greatly appreciated.

    I don't think a 16" would fit, not flush anyways... I'd prolly stick with 12" or 14"

      16" fan just fits between the frame rails.

        I believe mine is a 14" and it fits perfect. Covers lots of surface area on the radiator

            What size fan to use is a function of the climate the car will see. Here in the south I won't use less than a 16" fan rated at less than 1800cfm. A 16"/2300cfm SPAL puller fan will fit between the radiator and the engine, though it does have to be offset towards the left side.
            The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

              i think a 14 will be plenty. i live in Maryland. it gets hot, but it is not hell hot like down south. so i thnk i will be ok with tht. thanks every one!

                the size of teh fan is not what you need to look for. Dont get me wrong I would not go under a 14 but you need to see what the CFM is. 16" 1400CFM Spal Slim line fan should do the trick.

                  lower aux. fan temp. sw. going on order. whn it comes in make sure it wrks thn, engine driven fan comes off. yay!
