how do you do that?
i've heard about jumping the fuel but i don't know if thats a great idea to jump the main, but i'm not sure.Comment

Doesnt the coolant sensor only run corrections at partial throttle? How does the car run at idle/full throttle. I believe that at no/ full throttle the car runs of 2d Maps. Is that true nando?
Also id be resetting the dme. That fixed my bad idle problem when my vac line was left of :S. And there are two sensors as stated before one with 2 pins is for the motronic that also runs your gauge till 1/4 temp. Then the secondary sensor switches stopping the cold start on the motronic and running your gauge from then on. I had an issue with it always running rich due to my sensor being faulty.Comment

Your speaking a different language that I would love to learn about but unfortunately know nothing about right now.
It doesn't stay running long enough to drive now. When I limped it home the temp gauge was bouncing all over at different speeds and throttle. When it would bounce to normal for a second or two it did run fine. But then it would jumped again and even if i gave it full throttle it didn't want to accelerate and just stuttered.
I barely made it home and it was getting progressively worse. I then hooked the ground back up and now I'm where I'm at now.Comment

So,
1) Your temp gauge is bouncing everywhere (The whole range or just one part?)
2) Theres a strong fuel smell (where?)
3) The car doesnt want to idle? Or when you give it gas, you have problems?
Stop typing every little thing that happens and focus on important stuff (coolant temp, fuel smell). Go over your engine bay and examine where those "hacks" were. Disconnect your battery negative and let your DME reset for 15 minutes. Sounds like you have multiple problems and youre trying to fix them all with one repair....you gotta take them one-by-one.

BTW sounds like your car it starting to overheat, if your hoses are really pressurized and the temp calms down with speed (air moving over your radiator)

did you bleed the system properly?

I'm typing everything little thing that happens to give a detailed description. This isn't a random "my car won't run" thread. It was because i drove around on a disconnected ground from my oil pan to frame rail unknowingly... which i assume would have something to with my problems specifically.
And..?
Bleed what, the coolant system? The coolant system wasn't touched so probably doesn't have anything to do with the problems I described.Comment

Reset the dme. Check your fuel line/rail/fpr and go from there.yes all those are correct.
