Want to run a 1.3 motronic ecu on a 325e

    Hello

What I have at home is a 323i engine and gearbox but no loom or ecu.
And i also have a 325e donar car with a screwed up autobox.

What I was thinking of doing is a hybrid of the best bits so 325e block with a 323i head and gearbox.

Could I connect a 325i wiring harness and run a motronic 1.3 ECU? and then put a W.A.R chip into it and the other cool things like a MAF conversion and ecu controlled thermo fan.

Or can that all be put onto the normal 325e ECU (motronic 1.0)?

Yes that can be done. You'll need the AFM, CPS & bracket, and engine harness from an M20B27 engine. You might also have to change a sensor or two for the connections to match the harness.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

you can do it, but basically if it's electrical, it will need to be swapped over. That includes the injectors and all sensors. You also need the 3 bar fuel pressure regulator.

            crank position sensor.

i've also seen it called camshaft position sensor.

I've never called it that I just call it crank angle sensor which doesn't really matter anyway they both do the same thing.

I'm getting a bit confused, I'm hearing different opinions. What sensors can I keep and what would need to be changed or added in order to run a motronic 1.3 ecu

Others have forgotten to mention that you will need a harmonic balancer with a 60-2 toothed wheel for the CPS to work.

you can't keep ANY of the eta sensors. You need everything from a 325i, except the bare engine itself.

ok then instead of going through all the trouble of changing all the sensors and the harmonic balancer couldn't I simply keep the whole eta loom as is, and tune the stock ecu.
