schrick 288 cam spark plug gap?

we are changing the plugs on my buddies m20 car with schrick 288 cams and i was curious if the spark plugs need to be gapped any different? is .31 a good gap for them? would the cam need a change at all from factory gap? thanks for the help.

Do you mean 0.031" (not 0.31") ?If it misses at lower RPM then you will need to close the gap or look into replacing the coil. I run my car at 0.032" gap without any issues on a stock 190k mile coil with a chip and 17# injectors on the stock cam. I can't imagine you will have any issues but hopefully nando will chime in with his experience

yea that is what i meant, typing on an iphone quick always makes me fail. thanks, just want to make sure it doesn't change with a cam, i assume it wouldn't but just want someone to clarify for sure.

run colder plugs, like NGK BPR6ES

use the same gap as stock

you don't need a stronger coil unless yours is dead..
