    E30 m20 MAF

    hi,
Im looking into swapping my afm for a maf. I've been hearing a lot of bad things about swaping to mafs and having the result be that you car runs shitty and inconistent. Has anyone had good encounters with m20 afm to maf swaps? If not pease elaborate on your expirience and why it's not worth it, besides low end torque loss. Thank you in advance.

A way that works and provides positive benefits is a Miller MAF conversion.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I am sure Brody from Miller will pipe up soon, he is active here. I think the Miller MAF is good, I have one on my car, I am not sure you can expect much of a difference without a retune, but that would be a better question for Brody as I did the chip and the MAF together.

after you went for a tune after the installation of the chip and maf did you notice a difference?

my suggestion would be buying their W.A.R. chip and MAF conversion together. you wont really see much from just the maf alone..

you can purchase them directly through miller or through ireland engineering

              +10

I did the Miller war chip and MAF and it's awsome!
throttle responce and sound is unreal, and the car pulls hard and strong
              off the line..

I love it and will do this upgrade to any E30 I will ever own..!

$300 for the MAF and a basic tuned chip to allow the MAF to work, the $600 is for the MAF and the programmable WAR chip.

there is always msPNP setup. Then you'll never have to clean or replace a gummed up maf. Also has unlimited add on potential.

why do you need a war chip aswell. Unless you have deviated or soon plan to from stock don't worry

what he means is with the MSPNP you are running no AFM/MAF at all, this is much more complex, as is the WAR chip, if you are concerned about tuning your own car just get the MAF with the basic chip and be done.
