    Oil leaking into air intake

I did a quick search on this and could not find a solution for this issue. I have a 1985 BMW 325e.

I have oil leaking from what appears to be the vent hose into the throttle body which is running down the air intake into the air filter and assume it is also running into the engine. I have never seen this before, usually the hose vents much higher into the air cleaner and assume it could cause future issues if not something already.

If anyone has any insight on how to fix thisI would appreciate it, I looked for a PCV valve but couldn't find any, looks like it just vents directly.

I had this problem with my high milage accord. Usually caused by bad piston rings and valve guides. This vent takes combustion gases out of the crankcase, to the intake and reburns them. Blow by creates higher pressure in the crankase and carries more oil into the low pressure intake

This can be caused by vac leaks. Check the tube under the intake, i've had a bad o-ring there cause a significant amout of oil run down into the airbox.

Thanks, I will take a look at that first, cheaper solution, been meaning to replace it as this hose causes issues when I reinstall the throttle body.
