could failed motor mounts cause this?

    #1 should be the hose and #3 should be the clip. numbers 11531287651 and 11531714433 respectively. I just ordered them through blunt.

      oh, and if anyone wanted to know, the hose leaked after roughly 4 or 5 miles. who know that gorilla tape and zip-ties aren't a permanent fix?!?

        I have been slowly refreshing a very neglected M20. Both the motor mounts were sheared and the water pump was actually resting against the lower radiator hose. Scary shite. The prior Owner just took the pulley off and ran it without power steering. Just get under your car and take a quick look to be sure. I could tell in about two seconds that something was wrong. I didn't think my mounts were bad until I saw it for myself.
