    boost my m20 v. m50 swap

so i want more power, like we all do. yes i search button this shit!

here is the info on my motor:
m20b25, rebuilt less than 20k ago with an addition of a hotter cam.
17lb injectors, miller MAF, straight piped exhaust and headers, KAMOTORS INTAKE, also have a 4.10lsd so that gets it going.

it keeps up with 24v cars. gives ricer burners a good scare and makes me smile, BUT i know i can get more.

    my GOALS:

    250-275WHP.
    reliable
    able to DD.
    cost/power appropriate.
    on a budget.
    broad power range

i have read up on m52 cam, that would lower my compression and let me run higher boost yes?

but this is why i ask about swap, if i can boost my m20, i sure as fuck can boost a m50. which one handles it better? which one would meet my needs/wants best?

    so vote,
    m20 turbo
    24v swap plus s50 cams
    24v turbo
    24v s50 cams PLUS turbo
    or another good option

If you have the option to boost an M50, go for it. My buddy has one and he has a daily 400+ hp. Built it himself and he absolutely loves it.

yeah i have two hangups on the m20, 1. it has a timing belt.
            2. boosted m20 does seem common, i want to set myself apart...

on the other hand, since it is so common, it means it is PROVEN, which would be reliable, then, hence meeting several of my said goals....

            hmmmmm.

                    already sourced a turbo.
i think im gonna buy a ebay turbo kit off someone, then switch out key compenants and run MS.

my goal is 300 to the wheels if i need it, but around 250whp to daily it, then when a guy pulls up next to me, i turn up the boost to say...15psi, and bam, 300whp.

                    still researching/getting funds.

Dude if you do go MS buy from WhodWho, he builds a sick ms setup.
worth every dollar, totally stepped in and picked up the ball that Miller dropped
                      durring my turbo build..
He's the man and his MS is the shit..

yeah, if I were to buy a MS kit, I'd get it from Keith/WhodWho - and I've built many MS PnP kits on my own. :)
