    Chipping my e/i stroker

So I just did the E block/I head stroker kit. Very basic, haven't upgraded the crank yet. Since I have the 'i' ecu, intake manifold, and fuel rail on there can I just get a chip that is for the 'i' ecu/motor?

I don't think I've run across a chip specifically for that configuration. A chip for an M20B25 will be close, but it won't make full use of what the motor can do. If I were doing that I'd use a WAR chip.

You did use the M20B25 AFM, right?
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Alpina B27 is what we're going to run.

Alpina b27 or a standard i chip won't take full advantage for the setup since the pistons are shaped differently and compression is about 4 points lower. I have found the budget stroker (stock eta bottom, i top and ecu) actually likes a lot more timing advance and a fuel in the mid-upper range. The stock file has a big dip in the timing and fuel curve in that area. We have tuned about 4 of them and all have the same results.

Is that true when using the Super ETA bottom end? I thought compression was the same as the b25 when going that route. I know using a regular eta block will yield lower compression.

That was directed to the OP - he stated he used the e bottom end.

John, are you guys thinking about making a chip for that combo?

Maybe. We really don't feel comfortable selling chips unless we tune the car in person.

We have Motronic controlling boosted cars, though :)

Full "spec" turbo kit, STAT. Make a 300HP 2.7i bolt on system, spec every damn bit of it...give up some M20 love.
