    What is the best intake.

    I have a 2.9 stroker 10.5:1 compression, with 272 schrick cam
    (on engine stand still.)

I was just wondering what intake to use.

What is extrude honed intake as seen on IE?

Best? ITB's and standalone. DBilas, or custom sets.

Something not so wild. EH should help.

Something from the M20 wiki actually...
"-Extrude hone intake: an abrasive clay-like material is fed through the manifold to eliminate imperfections deep inside. Costly and worthwhile only if building larger stroker."

      Basically porting your intake manifold.

All the itb setups i come across like dblias are way to big.
And making a custon one is just so time consuming.

Not really. I'm talking about buying DCOE adapter plates for the intake runners (a dbilas part is available but the most expensive of a couple options), then sourcing 3 DCOE style throttle bodies in 35 or 40mm. I am building a 3.1L for my 02, someday, and am looking at the jenvey throttle bodies www.jenvey.co.uk . Add air horns and filters, or actually fab up an airbox with foam, cover in 'glass and melt the foam out with acetone or something. Dbilas and 100% homemade are not the only two options.

that is what i would do aswell...........but to the OP get it running on the standard manifold first

Is the extrude intake good bang for buck.

leave it standard, then get an extrude hone and do a back to back dyno test so you can tell us.....TOFTT

i doubt than a mm or two larger bore is significant enough to warrant $800 or whatever it would cost to get it done and shipped to Oz
