    Why so close?

Put my head together today and found that cylinder 2 inlet rocker pad was quite offset on the camshaft lobe.
the rocker adjusting roller is central on the valve stem.
    Everything is installed correctly.

Does this mean the cam is maybe ground wrong.

    Parts:
    Schrick 272
    IE heavy duty rockers
    OEM everything else.

      Yes i thought that too.
But i know that it is fully seated.
And number 2 inlet is the only one offset.

are the rocker shafts locked in place with the key?

anyway, the way it looks doesn't seem like there's really a problem.

Has anyone else encountered this with a schtick cam.

The entire bearing surface of the rocker is on the came, therefore there is no problem with its position.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
