    Is Harness/Ecu on Eta engine???

I have an early 325e that I will convert to I on some time. I have a spare 2.7 block to make a stroker I.

I just bought and have a Custom Motronic with Ms3 board, Is wiring harness and crank wheel.

Can I use this on my Full Eta engine and program it. Until I complete the "IS" Stroker engine for turbo?

No. You will need to swap over all of the I parts and complete the stroker build to run it. The harness connectors at the ECU are very different between the ETA and I DME's

    027 DME

    153/173/380 etc (M1.1 and M1.3) DME

My complete harness, Ecu and Crank wheel are from an "IS" car.

      What other connector changes?

You can run it, sure. Set the rev limiter low (5000) and you'll be fine.

You'll need to swap the i ICV setup on there though.

since it's MS3, it doesn't care what type of motor you have. it'll run basically anything, but with the eta the only caveat is the 120-tooth flywheel sensor isn't supported, you'll definitely need the 60-2 wheel and sensor from an M20b25. which you've already got.

MS3 will also run the eta's ICV but if you've already got the I stuff, use it, it's better. as far as the intake manifold - it doesn't really matter.

Thnks for the reply! I just dont want to wait until I refresh the stroker I... To use the Ms3, So I should set a really low rev limiter? 5k to 5,4?

set it to what the eta can handle, so yes.

But he mentioned the MS is built in to a Motronic case so most likely it's a PnP kind of setup which means he's going to want to use the i harness with it. This means he'll want the i ICV since it will plug in!

it's MS3. not exactly the same as an MS2 pnp. no extra hardware needed for an ICV (2 or 3 wire). I'm not saying he shouldn't use the "i" ICV, I'm just saying MS3 doesn't really care.

I don't know why you'd build an MS3 PnP for a 55 pin harness anway. you wouldn't be able to do sequential injector or COP, the biggest benefits of MS3..
