IE silicone coolant hoses

Who's running the IE silicone coolant hoses on their late model cooling system?

Thoughts and opinions please!

I have a full set plus the spider hose but have not installed them yet, look to be nicely made.

My close friend is running them. they don't seal exactly as well as rubber ones. noticed an issue where the thermostat housing had the usual pitting and water was seeping past. after replacing that output flange, been great for 8+ months. they dont look OE so when i replaced mine i went rubber.

I had them in my m20 any fit nice and never had any problems...

Bough the same for my s50 e30...
Supposedly they dont expand as much as rubber ones under heat ?????

They were about the same price as Pelican wants for a hose set (IE's 15% off day) and will probably outlast the car. They are impervious to oil and stock ones can delaminate and bulge under heat.

Exactly my thoughts. I want to replace all of the hoses on the turbo E30 and the silicone hoses aren't much more in cost and I assume they'd be better longevity-wise.

I need to replace a few of my hoses. Main one I need is the expensive expansion tank hose :(

ah crap hopefully my coolant hose lasts me until next sale
the end was disintegrating so I cut it down. but it's bell shaped normally so I had to heat it up in a pot of water and smash a glass down inside then run outside and mash it over the housing before it contracted again. seems to be holding up so far (knock on wood) :D

Me. They sure are stiffer than rubber and will for sure outlast.
Near the thermostat housing, though, it's formning a crustation of dry coolant that seemed to be seeping a bit. I didn't buy them new though; it's second hand.
I dig them. My runner ones were flappy and soft.
