looking for more help on my no start issue.

The electical connections on the fuel injector harness. Follow the wires that connect to the fuel injectors. Any place there is a clip/connector, disconnect it and check it. You can also do a noid light check at the same time. Noid lights are cheap.

just tested FP, and got a reading of 45 psi while cranking. isnt it supposed to be around 35?

did some research. 45 psi seems to be normal.

so i have proper fuel pressure and spark with a brand new cps....

i dont see why it would lose compression from sitting for 3 days

one of the spark plugs dripped fuel. i figured this was a result of a bad cps.


could it be otherwise?

The fuel injectors (somewhat like the spark plugs) are timed as well. The noid light is used to check that they are firing properly. If there is an issue with the DME, or electrical, or fuel system it is possible that the injectors are not firing properly.

Try using ether (starting fluid) to start your car. If it starts and runs with ether then you know it's a fuel delivery issue of some sort. Just because you're getting fuel and have proper pressure, doesn't mean you're getting the right amount of fuel or at the right time.

I've been there so I understand, but if you're paycheck to paycheck an e30 is going to be a challenge. They run forever, but there's always something they need.

I got it. At any rate, if it starts and runs on ether without too much popping and backfiring, then you can be almost certain it's a fueling issue.

fuel injectors were sucking air. car is starting and running fine for the most part.
