    m20 2.7i no power after 5k rpms cutting out

    i have a built 2.7i that has 2k miles on the build and recently while driving it its been cutting power at 5k rpms like as if i almost turned off the ignition it has never done this before its been smelling like alot of gas lately so seems like its running rich but idk why it would do this out of no where....any help or input would be great sorry still a newb with bmws

    Could possibly be that it's not getting spark if it smells like fuel. Check your tune, check your coil, plugs, etc.

        Crank position sensor, and front toothed wheel mounted ok?

            hows the sensor? try swapping it?

              It might be a good idea to check your fuel lines and make sure they aren't leaking.

                without knowing your fuel pressure up top you wont know if its fuel.....

                  Do you have all i components? Injectors, AFM, FPR, ECU, harness, plug wires, crank sensor, etc?

                    yes all i components now its even worse barely runs i swapped out the maf and still nothing cuts out bad went through a half tank of gas in two days driving 50 miles dies alot at a stoplight idk im lost need help bump

                        didnt read all other replies, but if nobody mentioned it yet. check your crank position sensor.

                          Does it back fire threw the intake? Get that fuel pressure reading?
