Ebay chip. (not a question thread)

Stamar kinda pisses me off. I'd buy an ebay chip, but I understand that it is potentially the wrong thing to do and I could potentially be taking money from people who truly deserve it.

I wouldnt get in a social/ ethical debate into it.

I feel the people who deserve support are the people that bring the chips to the people. So Im more worried about car owners than chip owners.

And chip copiers are so far as I know doing everything completely legal. In most countries it would be illegal to own a copyright and force people to pay 200 a shot, what mark d or whoever does in the us is illegal overseas. And not the other way around. The actual word copyright, and copyright laws are almost exclusively american concepts.

If the chip copiers went the extra mile they could actually load the software and remove tags to it and alter it a little, they are actually legitimate. I doubt it lol but how do we know?

That is essentially what someone like mark d does anyway, starts with either bmw software or dinan, pirates it, and then alters it.

I do not believe there has ever been a case of someone getting in trouble for ebay chips... seems to be totally legal. In fact, I do believe Mark D got in trouble for harrassing them.

Now here in america, there are people who believe in a persons right to become a millionaire by ripping people off for the most the market can bear using their capitol etc. So circumventing a capitalist is ethically wrong. If so, pay the us retail price for something.
I couldnt convince such a person that its right, im positive they couldnt convince me that its wrong. It doesnt matter. i dont even own a chip I just made sure I looked into it before I bought one.

I feel chip copiers are doing the right thing, heroes bringing performance to people. I think the average person is all that matters. If only they were more like 10$ apeice

Anyway if someone is unclear about car software copying they should compile all info into some seperate thread on it, and present something unbiased to let people unsure decide on their own. Not me I dont have that much interest.

19pound mustang injectors without chip did increase mpg a little, noisy injectors and power remain the same.

with ebay chip you recommended dramatically increase my mpg, rpm rev faster specially after 3k,can easily hit 100mph,injectors became quiet, you can hear air passes through muffler faster and I pass my inspection yesterday without a problem.

^m42 using 93 octane.

I have that very chip sitting in a 173 in my garage. I used it before I swapped over to the WAR chip. Except I think it was ULTIMATE E.A.T. at the time, or something.

I couldn't find a fault with it really. It did wake up the middle and top end a good bit by the butt dyno.

Id like to point out also, that I have never seen any evidence that any ebay chip is a copy, other than something posted from mark d. Who is the only person I would not trust.

I strongly believe they all are but there is nothing but forum gossip to suggest that all of these arent just made exactly the way markd makes them which is to download bmws software, remove the water marks and change the af ratios.

if anyone has any evidence that any ebay chip is a copy of any chip ( i dont personally care) please present it or never talk about it again thanks.

If theres nothing wrong with any ebay chip why try to bamboozle people into paying for expensive ones? anyhow sorry I refuse to debate it and I dont think anyone wants to debate it anyway other than vac man felt very serious about it yet presented no evidence for his claims.

ebay is not an underground listing place where you buy drugs and missiles. If markd had any sort of legal footing to stand on he would be right here to tell you not to buy ebay chips.

If anything listed on ebay is in violation of any law, it would be removed shortly. and in the event they made a mistake you would not be liable. you have no reason to think anything for sale on ebay is in violation of any law. Unless someone lies to you

I have an eBay chip and it pulls harder than stock after 3.5K. and that is on stock injectors. I just got a set of M50 injectors and with installation, I would imagine it being a little smoother because of the pintle design.

Well good news. The seller is great on communication, we were able to work out an awesome deal.

Total spent for 19lb injectors (already rebuilt) and the chip = $75ish including shipping. So, if It squeezes out a few ponies on paper it should be well worth the cost.

Same boat i'm in. Once my Gli is paid off and gone, i'm going to turbocharge the car with MS2. However, that is a year or longer away, so I figure I might as well have some cheap fun in the meantime.
