    my e30 wont go higher than 2000rpm help

    i have a 1991 bmw 325i 4 door

    problem

    wont go higher than 2000rpm

    thing done to it

    tps sensor
    maf sensor
    idle control valve
    o2 sensor
    spark plugs
    wires
    cap n rotor
    timing
    fuel pump

    can some one plz help me out i dont know wat to do

    How is the trans?
    IT sounds like some kind of limp home mode.

      same here but the only thing i havent done is adjust the tps sensor i hope someone can help us both..

        A bad crank position sensor can cause the symptom you have.

          A bad CPS or a fuel delivery problem would be my first suspicions.

            You "did" the maf sensor? Not sure what that means but I've seen problems like this with the AFM, which is what your car has, not the MAF. Double check the output and inputs to the AFM.

                Which E30 model year uses AFM or MAF?

                      Basically it follows the engine. AFM is M20, M30, M42, M10.
                      MAF is M50 and up. Basically all 24v+ engines are MAF, with the exception of "S" engines in M cars (M5, M6).
