Well my 274 cam is out now. I discovered that one of the oil feed holes for the cam/rocker shaft, and oiler bar was never drilled. 3/4 of the head was never getting any oil which caused my rocker shaft to become severly worn and 5 cam lobes to be destroyed.
I fixed the problem and went with a 325i cam. The runs great now. I like it better than before. Low end seems a little less torquey, but mid range and top end are improved. There is also no more hesitation from idle where before it generally "came on the cam" around 1700. Idles and drives nice and smooth. I also switched to a 173 ecu while my friend's car is down. I am very pleased with how its running now.
-im running m20b27 with ported eta cylinder head, dual valve springs, motronic 1.3 and all the parts from 89is. m50 17.5lb injectors, and no intake air box. (for those that dont know)
