    junkyard gold mine? stroker combos?

Can someone either help with a run down of what parts achieve what displacement sizes. I have a running 2.5 m20 and a complete bottom end but needing a rebuild 2.7 m20. I also have 2 complete sets of 2 different skirt size pistons and rods from I motors. I was wondering about other blocks, cranks, and rods that can give most bang for the buck with out doing a complete motor swap from another car needing tons of supporting parts to run. Low budget bang for buck. Thanks

stick with 2.5 they make more power. if you want 2.7 you will need a 325e crank from a m20b27 or you can use a m52b28 to stroke to 2.8 or you can use a m54b30 crank to go to 3.0 or an s50b30 to stroke to 3.1. the list goes on for what can be done.

This really has been covered way too many times. Do some research.

haha, welcome to r3v Nu-b! but seriously, there are a couple threads going on right now documenting peoples' stroker builds, reading them is how I've learned what I know about strokers, and I still don't know much. Google is your friend, and the search function here. Check out Metric Mechanic too for some light reading.

Can't people just be helpful? Isn't that what a forum is for? like minded people with interests in the same type of cars to get help with them.? If the subject has been covered soooo many times point click and drop a link.

alright you take it from there man, I have to get back to my homework, haha. My dad always told me, think before you speak. That can be translated to search before you ask. Once you run out of information from searching, just ask the most specific questions you can, and a lot of people here will be more than happy to help. It's just that asking questions that have been covered before, quite extensively, will yield sarcastic and short answers.
