Fuel leak

    Fuel leak

    So, I am ready to take my car to Pj Bonifacio to get some paint work done and started to smell fuel and lots of it too. I open the hood and see gas leaking from this. any you guys have encountered this problem before. I have been going from one problem to another ever since I bought this car.

    The round object is the Fuel pressure regulator. I can't tell from the pictures if the leak is from the hose, o-ring under the FPR, or the FPR itself.
    The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      When it was running it didn't look like it was the house, it was coming from the top of the fuel regulator. I will check it out to see if it is the O-ring. Thanks for the reply.

        Update, fuel line was just loose and easy fix and no more head ache.

          If the rubber lines look old and cracking do yourself a favor and replace them!

            I just bought a 5 m roll of fuel line from Blunttech for $43.

              that line cracked all of a sudden on my previous e30 and sprayed fuel on the hot radiator. that car burned down pretty quickly.
              AWD > RWD

                In the pic, the hose clamp has been tightened excessively and is cutting the hose.
                The OP has stated that the hose was loose and has torqued the clamp further.
                The hose is brittle at the end.
                It needs to be replaced.

                    Thanks for the advise, once I get the car back from the body shop first on the agenda is to change old hoses.
