    Info on bolt torque

Hey guys, since I'm doing a rebuild/hybrid I am looking for some information on the max torque (Ft. lb) for the bolts on the engine so I won't mess up and end breaking something. I have the Bently Service Manual for e30 but I can find some but not all of the information on the M20's bolt torque information/specifications.

    Any help would be appreciated.

In the beginning pages of the bentley there should be a page about approximate torque values depending on what size the bolt is. Use that if it isn't specifically stated.

Even if your careful bolts do break and snap off, just use your best judgement and have the right tools at hand.

The book I have says 'crankshaft damper bolts' 281-309 ft lbs. This think that is bolt on the front of the crank.
If you are talking about the main bearing bolts, those are 42-46 ft lbs.
Rod bearing bolts are 14 ft lbs + 70* turn
          flywheel 82-94 ft lbs

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.
