    325i misc wire connector?

Do some 325i cars have a cold start injector?

The reason I ask is im doing a 2.7 Swap in an 86 325e and I've collected parts from a few different cars to make the swap work.

    The head/intake/sensors are from a 90 Automatic 325i. The Wiring harness however is from a 87 325i.

The guy who sold me the harness labelled everything really well and one of the plugs that I am unable to find a sensor for is labled "lower fuel rail." I've looked high and low on the car and am unable to find the sensor where this plug could fit into it's a very short two prong connector off the main harness right under the intake.

I haven't tried to start the car as I'm still waiting on the exhaust and some other stuff, so maybe it will work without it I just though it was odd that I couldn't find anything to plug it into.

    Thanks

No M20B25 engine ever had a cold start injector.

The loose connector you have could be for the evaporative control valve.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Can anyone find a picture of what the Evap control valve looks like? Is it involved with the A/C system?

The evaporative control valve goes between the nipple on the bottom of the throttle body and the charcoal canister.

no, it recycles gasoline vapors from your fuel tank that would normally evaporate (tanks have to be ventilated due to thermo expansion).

Valve is #19, canister is #15 (attached to the left wheel well in the engine bay).
