Does the CX Racing one require Any modification? Even a little trimming to the shroud? I like the idea of never having to replace my radiator again.
No trimming at all...direct fit for my car.

The car is supposed to run at half temp when sitting idle.

If your coolant is leaking out... YOU HAVE A LEAK. Find it and fix it.

You verified that all the coolant hoses, heater hoses do not leak? Where was the leak? You filled it with coolant, turned on your heat to max? If there isn't a "leak" per say, but all the coolant is gone, then the coolant was filling your heater core.

If you did have a leak, there are a couple places....t-stat housing (missing any nuts?), water pump gasket.....look for white "splatter" around the engine.
