I have a strong gut feeling it has something to do with the aftermarket (carquest) rotor button, somehow it's not getting enough spark to the rest of the contacts and this is what maybe causing the weak spark.

When i tested out with the OE coil the spark was strong. I saw the strong arcs hoping from screw driver to car ground constant.

No, I think the head is OK. I put a few drops of oil in the cylinders and the compression jumped significantly, hit 150 psi on the first cylinder. I'm thinking dilution of the oil and extreme heat killed the rings. Strange thing is that the cylinders looked fine, no scoring.

I was pretty upset when I saw the low compression numbers, the owner of the car has been a loyal customer since we opened shop, so we try to take care of him. Sometimes you just can't win.

car up and running. I was a n00b and a dumbass. I had the rotor button on backward. flipped around and how the bitch fired right up and purrrrred like a CTX local motive, valve adjustment time.

I hope some other n00b read this and learn from my mistake. Thanks to all those who helped me with this.
