Take the opinion threads to general discusion with the rest of the noob's who are trying to build their post count.

AND AS FAR AS R3V GOES, [B]THINK FIRST[B] before posting, make sure the thread will get you the response your after, and if its just opinions your after- don't be mad if people give you shit when you don't have all your info and pics ready.

AND LASTLY, never call someone out on the forum unless your actually know them, chances are they have been around e30's since before you learned what BMW stands for.

The fuck did I just read?

Buy the car that is the least messed with. Any car that is "flat black" is more than likely the type of car that has cut and spliced wires, no maintenance, and poorly, ill fitted modifications done to it. In other words, more than likely worthless and more headache than sense.

Oh, and I wrote this on my iphone...

        You must be new here...

All he was saying is that giving you advice would be much easier if you were direct in exactly what you wanted. Supplying pictures, stating important facts (year, milage, condition, color, model) in the FIRST post allows people to give you a straight up answer instead of fishing you for more information.

With hat said, if you have a chance to get a cheap iS, it is much more worth it in the long run than a SETA.

that eta looks like a pile.

if $2k comes with the motor I think the answer is pretty obvious. the seta hardly makes a lot more torque than a stock B25 anyway, it's going to be slower any way you slice it.

New trans and motor being built. 5 speed good clutch. Idk I've never driven an "is" but the "seta" is fun.
The SETA will be slow, the b25 is hands down better and like Nando said above; the trq difference is so small you will not notice it. You WILL notice the drop in HP in the SETA.

And get some respect, you asked a question then started posting a single sentence response after another. Collect your thoughts and put everything you want to say in one response. You can edit the post at anytime to add and remove.

buy the one in better shape. With the iS getting a new motor, check it out very carefully to avoid gremlins/problems in the future. I prefer the etas - the torque difference is very noticeable and they return better mileage.

                        +1,

Me Eta is awesome at the auto-x no need to rev it up. I was 1.5 sec slower then a S52 swapped e30 with way more susp work done and a driver used to his car on R compound tires. (we were both on the same type of tire)
