no start, pump works, fpr fine, cranks, random.

Decided to test out a new fpr in the e30. Disconnected the relay, turned it over, removed old fpr, installed new OEM one, reconnected everything, no start.

Jumped fuel pump, could hear it, but no start. Threw a pressure gauge on. 42psi. Still no start.

    Cranks just fine.

Replaced old for, still no start! A little less pressure though (38psi).

    What happened?

If the engine failed to fire with the fuel pump relay jumpered and the rail pressure at 42psi, the problem is something other than the fuel system. Check for spark while cranking.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

With spark and correct fuel pressure, look for intake leaks.

I know it has a minor one on the brake booster side, but its never failed to start before. It should be fixed in a day or two, just waiting for a check valve.

Unplugged almost everything in my engine bay and sprayed it with electrical parts cleaner. started right up. I see....
