replaced everything but still no spark?

    I have a '87 325i vert.
after sitting for a while my car isn't starting.
I replaced the spark plugs, the cap and rotor, and I had the coil pack tested and it was good. my stepdad tested to see if it was getting spark and no luck. and I recharged my battery so that isn't a factor either, and I definitely have gas.
my dash lights up and my motor turns over, but it just can't get there. starter fluid isn't helping either.

my question is what else could it be? what am I forgetting? All helps appreciated. thanks guys!

Yep, CPS, main relay, or fusible link would be the obvious suspects.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Main relay is $11 from the dealer and 60 seconds to replace (if its your first time). Id start there. Better yet,I swapped one in from another car to confirm that was the problem

Check fuel delivery. When you say sitting for awhile, how long did it sit? Your fuel can also be stale if its been a long while.

                    quinthirty about two months.

                    FOLLOW UP QUESTION!

on pelican parts, there's two options, both of which are applicable to my model.
ones "cps motronic engine (front of engine)" and "cps/rpm sensor".
this might be an obvious answer but I don't know which one I need. and help?
