    Should I reuse these rockers?

    How bad is this pitting?

And this three faced rocker pad? Should I toss this one?

Almost all the rest of them sans about 4 have developed an almost sine wave look to the rocker pad (What's the area called where the rocker rides on the cam?)

Are they genuine BMW? They don't look too great. I would replace them if it were my car.

Yeah, they're both stamped BMW. The second seems to have been replaced at some point already. It was ridiculously clean compared to the others.

those look really bad, like the cam's not getting oil and you have shards of metal embedded in the rocker faces. How do the cam lobes look?

All the rockers that just came out of our 200k mile M30 look smooth and non-wavey, even the ones that broke off.

That cam was boned. Almost every lobe was ground noticeably shorter. I'm in the process of replacing the cam and was trying to use the best of two sets of rockers (the ones in the motor that are all pretty sketch and the ones in my old motor that popped a timing belt)

With that damage, replace all of the rockers. And make sure that the spray bar isn't clogged.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Yeah this car isn't worth all that. Probably should replace them all but I grabbed a six or so Febi rockers from O'Reillys to replace the really boogered ones but I can't financially justify replacing all 12.

I didn't use these rockers; these were part of the group I replaced. Even at cost, rockers are at least $20. I'm not spending a third of the purchase price of the car to bandaid an eta motor until this car gets a heart with more displacement.

just buy new rockers FFS.. a whole new set will only be a couple hundred bucks.

Sounded like a diesel on initial fireup. I figured these ones were toasted, just wanted to be sure when picking out 12 I could use.
