Makes sense, it was a metal on metal connection with no press fit. JB Weld fixed that.
Now after rigging a ghetto-fabulous smoke machine with a Swisher and a transfer pump, I've found two more leaks as indicated below. The smoke is literally emerging from in between the coils on BOTH return springs. RealOEM says that the throttle body is one solid piece and can't be disassembled. Are there seals/gaskets underneath both springs that can be replaced? I've read jlevie's comprehensive list of all possible vacuum leak locations and these leaks don't make the cut.
There is a nut above both springs, but the linkage still doesn't want to come off (because it's connected to the butterfly inside the housing, yes?). Anyone else run into this before?
