    Is this needed?

So since im missing the little metal L shaped piece that goes where the arrow is pointing, I wondered If I can just PLUG it up and be ok? I still have the Power Brake Check Valve from the m42 engine, I know I have to switch to the one for the m20b25 but is it really necessary to do so? or can I keep current set up and plug that port like I mentioned? Its obviously creating a huge vacuum leak :(

I'm fairly certain the valve is only to retain as much power brakes as Possible in the event of the engine stalling.

it is only plugged in late-model manual cars.

fill the hole with JB weld and let it cure.
