    1500 RPM Idle

Got my 2.7i running really good. Only issue is that it wants to idle at 1500 RPM all day long. One thing I found was that the idle will drop down to a reasonable 800 RPM with the oil cap off, and will drop to 1100 RPM with the dipstick pulled out.

I've got a new breather hose from the valve cover to the TB. I did have the TPS off at one point to the the TB. Part of me wants to think the ECU is still "learning" the fuel trim as the battery was disconnected while I did work.

The car drives amazing off the line and accelerating through the power curve. I don't think a vacuum leak is my problem here.. Hmmmmm.

I posted this in another thread, the only time I had a high idle problem, it was this:

Regarding the high idle, since you have an eta car, look above where your glove box drops down. There's your normal DME computer then an additional green idle control module (ICM). If this is unplugged or half plugged in, your car will idle very very high, ask me how I know.

Good info. I'll look into it more this weekend. Been busy getting the daily ready for E30 Picnic.

You may want to check your Manifold gasket, if you have checked all the hoses. It is normal for rpm to drop when oil cap is off, since you loose pressure. Use a multimeter to check throttle position switch.

The car has motronic 1.3 so no ICM. Will continue looking for vacuum leaks and pick up a multimeter this weekend. I had the TPS off while cleaning it out so that is very suspect to me.
