Anybody have experience with eurotuning.us chips?

They have a chip advertised as being specific for the 2.7i, and are currently having a sale, which is very tempting, but before I pull the trigger, I was wondering if anybody has any experience with this seller?

Does anybody have any other suggestions for the best chip for a budget 2.7i?

It looks like they are a new business, and since no one piped up, I decided to be the guinea pig, and pulled the trigger while they are having a sale; $63.99 with discount code FRESNO.
I haven't yet put together my budget 2.7i, as I still need to source a usable 885 head. Everything else is either in the mail, or waiting in a pile to be installed. I doubt I will have the ability to dyno the car on the stock chip vs the 2.7i tune, but I will try to get some numbers (0-60, 1/4mile, etc), to hopefully see if there is any difference, and will also give my impressions of the chip.
I am anxious to get this thing together, and give my lowly eta some added power.

I haven't installed it yet. It arrived well packaged, and their communication and customer service was great. The car is currently in the shop getting painted, so it will be a few weeks before it gets installed.

I will get some measurements using some smartphone apps, since I do not have the time/money to pay for dyno time. Just basic stuff like 0-60, etc.

I have a strong running eta, so I plan on comparing it in several stages:
1 - motronic 1.0 with ebay chip, eta block/200 head, i exhaust, and KAMotors intake (its current trim)
2 - replacing motronic 1.0 with 1.1 (153 ecu), and replacing 200 head with 885 head that was shaved to its minimum and using an adjustable cam gear (set to stock timing)
        3 - replacing 153 ecu with 173 ecu and EuroTuning 2.7i chip
4 - fiddling with adjustable timing gear to see if I can improve acceleration in the usable range (0-80mph). (disclaimer: I know I can't 'add' power by adjusting cam timing, and can only move the power band up or down.)

Hey I'm in for some numbers on the 2.7i swap

and any difference you might feel between the 153 and the 173 ecu. although one is motronic 1.1 and the other is 1.3, I've heard that there is a negligible difference in computational power or speed. But no one has really done too much research into it.

Either way, 2.7i is the way to go! Love mine and I'm sure your's will put a smile on your face

My car is still in the paint shop, so I haven't had a chance to do the swap yet. I will pay info as soon as I get there car back to work on it.

                Car is still at painters.

I have worked with this guy before, and he does great work, but since it isn't his main job, he works on the car when he can. He could call me up and tell me its done tomorrow, or it could be 2 more months. Either way, I can't complain, because I know I am getting quality work done for a great price. There has also been an issue with project creep, as I added a plastic bumper conversion and late model rear valance to the original job.

I can't wait to get this car back together though. The wait is killing me!

Oh well if I get my 2.7i together before you I'll do a little test of stock chip vs this chip, as I'm probably going to buy one. Why not for that price right?

For the price, that's what I figured.

What is the ecu that the 87 325e model has and what do you need to switch it to for it to run the 325I head and supporting parts

I am using this thread as my guide for this project. It has all of the info you could possibly need regarding the swap:

That thread is getting pretty diluted with hearsay and guesses. If only there were a tread of only 2.7i engine knowledge and not whether it's a good idea or pros and cons/ people trashing it or recommending m50 or 2.5s. But if you feel like sifting through it, like I did, try and find people who have done it. To save you the hassle iirc ecu can be any m20b25 ecu running motronic 1.1-1.3 to include 153 173 even 525 ecus. (Unless someone knows I'm wrong first hand?)

Sweet and just an update I just ordered a 2.7i chip from euro tuner stage 2 so I'll let you all know how they are in a few weeks if the swap goes well.
