    Cam question, 288 regrind....

    I'll make this really simple.....
885 head + 288 cam + Seta short block. Yea or Neh?

what should I be worrying about with this also, Injector size? Which Chip? Just anything you can think of, I got a bare short block, and looking at a head with the 288 regrind, and I can't get any strait answers from a buddy on this one.

without more details on cam specs you might be smashing valves and pistons. SETA pistons have SFA pockets for the valves. that and the CR is a bit low so will be a dog down low

I'm assuming you're looking at one of our heads that's for sale 2nd hand here on R3V.

For your engine combo I'd definitely recommend sticking with a 272 or 274.

Yep, that's the one. I think I'll be sending you guys a 885 core, and ordering a performance built head with the 274 sometime after the first of the year.....
