Fuel smell in/around engine bay (solved)

    SOLVED thanks guys

Coming into a problem that's popped up pretty randomly in the past two days. I sealed a small leak near the tank on the weekend, and then this week (i think the two are unrelated), i started smelling raw fuel on the front end after sharp turns or when pulling up to a stop. Those are the times i notice it, but i'm sure that's just because the wind isn't blowing the fumes away at that point.

No fuel around the injectors that i can see, but i did find some fuel (greenish for premium) on the frame near the driver's side wheel well (see pic below). as well as on the passenger side engine mount (much less, but it's there).

It's negative eight billion degrees in Toronto right now so i'm just looking for possible sources before i find a warm place to jump under the car myself.

    TIA!

That point is right about where the soft lines to the engine connect to the hard lines under the body. Either could be leaking.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

You need 8mm (or 5/16") fuel injection hose. Ordinary fuel hose can't take the pressure.

          that's 8mm internal 13mm external right?
hoping it's the soft line and a broken clamp..

As for on the passenger side engine mount, what could that be?

8mm or 5/16" is OD for rigid line and ID for flex lines.

found the leak. One of the three hoses that are bunched together (return, charcoal or whatever and the one to the fuel rail) is wet and is dripping near the clamp to the other line near the dipstick, directly above the driver side engine mount, and a bit futher down towards the firewall (maybe 6 inches). I think it's the send line since it seems to drip faster when revved.
The line looks in good shape from the top, so i'm not sure what's up. Will pop under tonight and take another look and replace.
Just glad it's not a hard line.

Replace that hose. The supply line to the rail is at >30psi. The other lines are at 0psi and less likely to be a problem.
