    Help…what is this sprocket?

So I'm doing a timing belt/water pump replacement. I want to clean as much as i can because it's disgusting and full of oil and dirt, however, i got everything removed, i haven't MOVED the cam gear or the crank shaft at all…however! I moved this sprocket…is that bad?!?!?!? See the RED BOX. I totally forgot to not move anything so i can just slip the new belt on.

Secondly, I want to clean the sprocket on the crankshaft…is there anyway to remove this cover without pulling all the gears off? I want to clean all this crap off...

That's attached to the intermediate shaft which drives your oil pump.

Correct and it doesn't matter if it moves.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Also, as a FYI...I always use a whiteout pen to mark pulleys/sprockets.
