Anyone ever try the Miller M20?

Hey guys, I'm thinking about buying this kit for my 91 325i from VAC Motorsports( Miller M20 prostreet induction kit) Its a little spendy at $525.95 but it sounds pretty good. Has any body out there ever heard anything about this? Would love to here some feedback on it...Thanks

The Miller M20 ProStreet Induction Kit opens your M20's intake tract up and lets you make some serious power! Offers gains of 25+ HP and 25+ Ft Lbs of torque over stock! The M20 ProStreet Induction Kit increases your intake tract from 2.5" to 3.0" in diameter and reduces all major restrictions associated with the stock equipment.
Wow. I didn't know M20 can make more power than M50 just on intake. That must me a joke. Didn't megasquirt make MAP sensor system for M20 which means all you run is straight pipe to the engine and they only gained 1hp. I did lots of experimentation on M20 intake system and stock system is the best in my opinion.

The power of google can be overwhelming.....

Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.

OP. did you research it or maybe call VAC or Miller rather than rely on spotty forum "knowledge"? Propbably be a good idea to get a base-line from the source.

I'm surprised this thread hasn't generated more interest. This package includes all the external bolt-ons except exhaust, and the claimed gains are big. VAC is a pretty legit outfit, so I'd be surprised if they were selling snake oil. No independent dyno or dragstrip data?

It's because it has been brought up several times before ... see google links.

I have psik on my M20 and like it. I don't know if it really gives all the power gains they claim but it sounds fucking great at wot and feels like it pulls a little harder.

I put it on my stroker and I'm very impressed before i couldn't quite keep the wheels spinning in second gear, but once i installed the psik i can.

"This product is really 3 products in 1: a cold air intake, a performance chip, and an AFM conversion!"

Chip brings most of the claimed hp

I put it on my car (with extrude hone intake, RD headers, 2.5" cat/muffler, 19lb injectors) with the WAR chip. Using the default tune, it felt decent at the top end, but missing a lot in the mid range. Tuning the WAR was difficult as you can't run the car with the WAR connected to the computer. When I switched to megasquirt, we tried to get a before dyno pull with the O2 sensor disconnected, and it would not run--popping, backfiring, just crap--so it was apparently relying on the input from the stock narrowband sensor to run.

I kept the intake part as it is a true cold air intake, but you better have the fender splash shields fully intact to keep water out of it. The megasquirt was much easier to tune, and in the end I'm happier with it. Looking back, I would have bought it without the WAR chip and saved that money. If I could have gotten it without the MAF sensor (just the intake tube and filter), that would have been even better.

i still havent seen any independent dyno tests of any of the millerstuff (MAF, or PSIK or WAR etc) they make some impressive claims
