2.7 stroker wont go past 3500 rpm

I just finished my stroker project (minus the smt-7... still waiting for that), and I'm getting this weird problem that I can't figure out:

The engine won't rev past 3.5k when stationary, and won't rev past 3k rpm when moving. If I LIGHTLY press the accellerator though, I can edge past this point and SLOWLY build more revs. My narrowband a/f gauge is showing me a drastic leaning at around that same point.

My first thought was unmetered air, but the car idles fine and is very smooth from idle UNTIL 3.5k rpm. I checked hoses etc anyways, and found nothing.

My second suspect was the 2.7 chip I had put in. Swapped it with the original chip, same behaviour..

Any ideas as to what's causing this?

    Background info:
2.7 stroker using high CR pistons
    304 degree schrick
    535i injectors
2.5 bar FPR (the 3.0 made it stumble and stutter badly)
normal m20 AFM (working properly.. I checked)

From what I understand, the m30 injectors aren't going to work because they are high? impedence or something? someone verify please.

No the injectors have worked before... so that can't be the problem. I'm thinking maybe it's the adjustable cam gear...

slightly off topic, but what was the 3.0 fpr from, and what was the 2.5 frp from?

3.0 is standard M20B25, 2.5 can be found on ETAs.

fixed the problem for the most part. Funny enough, replacing the 2.5 bar with a 3.0 bar again and using hotter plugs eliminated 80% of the problem. Still stutters RARELY at sustained high rpms, so I'm gonna review the fueling system again.

Oh, and I used the 2.5 bar from a 320i, but I'm sure it's the same 2.5 that the eta has.

I'll ditch both FPRs and install my bavauto AFPR as soon as I find a freakin fuel pressure gauge in this wasteland...
