Oil will smell of gas if your running rich for an extended period of time. But likely from when you pulled the rail, possibly spilling some fuel

That must be it, the injectors would make it run rich and I did let it idle for 5 min.

Install the chip, recheck everything to make sure the injectors are firmly seated and everything is connected properly, then use brake cleaner to check for vac leaks.

That's the plan. I just got back with the hoses, I'll update when it's all together.

Definitely replace that screw as well.
Beautiful car from what I could see in the vid.

Definitely same story. Found out some PO broke the screw off inside there.

So I now am stumped. I checked everything.

When I try to r3v the motor it stutters and won't go past like 2500-3000 rpm.

least obvious thing to check is the injectors themselves

Alright let me make what I have done is clear from step 1.

Took off the valve cover and brace, pulled off electric rail unplugged everything even the wire that goes down onto the driver side, took out fuel rail by taking out all four bolts and pulling up on the rail and disconnecting FPR, I removed all of the old injectors from the rail once out of car, lubed up the old ones with vasoline and put them into the rail then inserted the rail into the car with every injector popped in tight and facing the same direction, 4 holes were lined up, installed rail. then I installed the FPR but I had a problem later on with fuel leaking and it ended up being a bad o-ring. Continuing on the fuel rail is done and the electrical rail is put onto the new injectors, both plugs plugged into the thermostat housing, all injectors clipped in tight, electrical rail is done. install valve cover and torque down all bolts to 13 ft/lbs of torque, brace bolted on tightly, one screw missing because it is broken off inside the manifold. Hose from FPR to manifold on and everything ready to go without the chip installed. Car fires up now here are the symptoms

                        -Sounds like a missfire
-Loud hissing noise coming from injector area
-Will not Idle correctly but does idle

My next steps were taking everything back apart, just like the first time. What I did different than the first install was I installed the chip correctly because the motor can r3v to 7000. I put on a new vent hose with clamps, and an intake boot. On this second install I did all the steps identical to the first except I did not remove the fuel rail completely out and I did not remove the FPR. All I did was clean out the places where the injectors sit into the head, relubed the injectors with vasoline, and popped the injectors back in. Upon starting the car up for the second time with high hopes, nothing has changed besides the r3vlimiter, all symptoms correspond to the first time around:

                        -Sounds like a missfire
-Loud hissing noise coming from injector area
-Will not Idle correctly but does idle

                        What.. the.. FACK

EDIT: Took the car for a spin around the block and the computer has seemed to have adapted, although the power seems a little laggy and throttle response is delayed.. Noise is still there.

what do you want me to check? and How?

Also I'm waiting for another video to upload to show you guys everything.. But once the motor cools, I'm going to pull the injectors and put in the stock ones to troubleshoot.

Am I supposed to use these caps from the old injectors?

No the old caps wont work with the new injectors. It sure seems like there is a vacuum leak past somewhere. Try sticking the old injectors in. I wonder if the new ones are not sealing.
