The adaptation part can take some time and apparently works best if you clear the ECU by disconnecting the battery for a while (I left mine apart for 2 hours).

The chip centers around the injector size. In fact unless something is wrong (vacuum leak etc) you may only have a few mins of slightly lopeier than usual idle and thats it. Anyway im following to see whats going on and we have talked outside of this thread. Sounds like injectors may not be seated or there is vac leak somewhere. Anyway waiting on a video of the noise.

completely uneccesary to remove the manifold. that would make it 10x harder.

I will post a diy. I have been meaning to do this for a while. And yes 100% unnecessary to remove the intake.

Nando: I made a DIY over in the DIY section for injector installs. Needs mod approval though. Then I will link to here. Thanks!

and to be clear I have not installed the chip. Waiting on video to upload

I have it pulled apart to the point of injectors and rail, now I have my clips on, they all seem in there pretty tight, what else should I check for a diagnoses?

edit: I found gas in the head, is that a huge problem?

Where did you find gas in the head? I would install the chip. Thoseinjectors will run quite rich initially without a tune. Msg sent about the video. Sounds like a vac leak but not sure. Never heard that noise before. Doesnt sound like a grinding starter. Could be iacv noise perhaps.

sitting under the rocker arms in little crevices of the head.

It's a vac leak. My guess still is that cover on the back of the intake where your missing a screw.

Also I'm unsure where you have found this gas?

I wonder if the FPR is failing and sucking gas into the manifold....Although that still doesnt make sense as to why there is gas near the rockers. Thats just weird. Did you accidentally dump some rail gas into the head when pulling the old injectors. That rail can be quite full.

Okay I'm going to the dealer to get a new vent hose because it seems cracked, that screw FLG is talking about and an intake boot to be certain.

I don't believe so. If these hoses work and everything starts working, I'll pull the valve cover one more time to see if more gas built up.

Are you sure it's gas and not just oil? I don't want to state the obvious but just saying
