    Best engine upgrades?

I've finally got my car running well and got rid of all the problems and now I want to start doing some upgrades to make the car better. Thinking about getting a new head because the current one is original and I'm sure the car could benefit from a new one. Is there anything else I should do? I'm not looking for a lot of hp or anything, I just want the car to be reliable and more efficient. More power is a good side effect but not the main goal.

Are there any type of injectors that are new style that are better? Maybe a waste spark ignition system? Intake? I'm new to these cars so if this a stupid question just let me know and I'll be on my way

bosch design 2 or 3 injectors are a good upgrade as far as fuel atomization goes e36 green tops are good and fairly cheap. Get a chip matched to those injectors(a good chip not ebay) and you should see a nice increase in HP, torque, and MPG's.
if you don't know when the last time the O2 sensor was changed(or if close to 100k) then do that too. should see better overall AFR and by association power and fuel efficiency.
for intake unless you want to spend good money and time on it then just get a k&n panel filter and call it a day.

There's a guy on here his username is mpowerful who rebuilds injectors and sells matching chips. I ordered 17# injectors from him along with a chip and am happy with them. The price is very fair considering how expensive injectors can be.

if current injectors are ok then no need to "upgrade" unless you are making alot more hp, money best better spent elsewhere. a refreshed head is a good idea if it has alot of miles on it etc.

check out bimmerheads website they do stock and a ported version with mild cam for not much extra if thats what you are after.

othwerwise might be able to take your head to a head place and get them to reresh it for less than a complete swap

        dont worry about waste spark.

My cars got 180k on it and is burning some oil. Compression is good so it's valve guides/seals. I was looking at the heads from bimmerheads. Seems like a really good price.

As for the injectors, mine are starting to get pretty noisy so I'm just trying to see if there is something better than stock for not too much more money. Where would you suggest spending the money?

Edit: And if I go with the bimmerheads head and new injectors, should I get 17 or 19lb/hr injectors? Also would a tune from bimmerheads be good or should I go with a tune from elsewhere?

How do you know your injectors are "NOISY"

this is a pretty unusual excuse to just throw random aftermarket parts at a car.

FIX the problem and make the car run good with 100% stock parts.

              Then mess with modifying it

Used a stethoscope, found out which injectors it was, moved them around to confirm it.

if staying with motronic ask which injectors the chips are for. 17 is easily enough but if the tunes are done on 19lb then use them

Can't tell if serious or sarcasm but yea, I mean one day I plan on doing that. But right now this car is my dd and I have a project car that I'm finishing up. I haven't looked into what it takes to turbo an e30 yet but if there was a comprehensive kit that had everything and was a known good, reliable kit, I'd do it much sooner than later. But alas, it's definitely not happening this year.
