Are all the Cam Gears the same in the M20s?

Quick question... I still have the original cam gear in my Eta - the pressed metal one. (9/85 build, so not the one that was under recall according to Bentley). It has been fine, but I might be able to pick up a sintered cam gear. Should I even bother? When I did my timing belt job last year, the gear looked perfect.

Also are all the stock M20 cam gears the same size? I looked at the part number, and it matches several BMWs. Just wanting to be sure.

    Thanks.

The stock M20 ones are all the same. Defenitely replace that stamped steel one, they are extremely flimsy and will bend under the slightest amount of pressure.

I'd give the same advice for the auxiliary shaft (oil pump) gear as well - if you have a stamped steel one get a replacement for that one too!

Which one is that in the diagram? My guess is #9? I believe that one was cast. Just the cam gear was the pressed one.
