    Camshaft Question

What camshaft will fit the 200 head from the eta? Is a 325i cam a direct bolt in? I am doing some research on something as I have acquired an extra 2.7 200 head.

I would just grab an 885 head with cam, intake, and such to go with it, to make the 2.7i.

I think I may have answered my own question as I think I am seeing 4 bearing journals on the 327 and 7 journals on the 325. Please correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like it will not fit.

I have considered it, but I don't have time to do the wiring swap. I am jam up with wrenches and carbs but not so much on wiring. I have also found that it lowers compression to use the 885 head.

If I had some help on the harness and someone to aid me at the scrap yard to tell me what I need I wouldn't be afraid of it. Maybe if I could find a good video on what to pull. I can get a head and intake right now from a 90i car :)

            From the intertubes:
I head, injectors, fuel rail, FPR, AFM, thermostat housing, airbox, valve cover, throttle body, ICV, ECU and wiring harness.
Harness is no biggie, everything kinda lands where it's supposed to go.

So I should grab everything from the head up, and the I air box too? Well the car I have in mind has everything except the afm and the airbox. I'm gonna go ahead and gra it I guess. I am one of those dummies who like's to take the stock "what it came with" motor and make it perform.

Dangit! Yall are gonna make me do this dang "stroker" thing. I don't see how it's a stroker though, to me the stroke has to be modified on the crank or the rods in order to call it a "stoker" but then again I'm just an old school v8 guy too.

Well, it's a stroker if you move from a m20b25 to the b27 bottom. Your motor is already a stroker. You'll also be able to rev to 6500rpm as well when it's done because the 885 head has double valve springs. So you'll just be moving to a rev happy stroker.

But then I will have to get a 7k tach, I could just slap a 5" autometer with a big shift light like the mustang guys do :P

isnt it just adding some oiling holes on the 200 and you can run a 325i cam?

I have seen that in previous threads Dig but idk if the pedastils are there for the 3 added journals on the 325i cam. I will know more when I paint my valve cover next week.
