    Easy Horsepower Gains?

Looking for easy horsepower gains, while keeping it NA. Any past ideas on exhaust, intake and chip combos?

Go to Google and type in M20 upgrades or anything similar and you will get about a million people that have already asked this question

          I just blew your mind didn't I
          Well its WWW.Google.com

And its the same simple upgrades every other sports car gets, tunning chips, headers, engine work and suspension

Look into tunning chips, they are the easiest and most noticeable difference

            Easy Horsepower Gains?

Kind of thread jacking, but don't really see the point of making a new thread for this:

What kind of power do you expect out of a full exhaust (headers, high flow cat, and catback), 19# injectors, W.A.R. Tune, ITBs, and a 284 cam?

What kind of power boost do you get from just the ITBs? It was a topic of conversation today and no one knew.

                Easy Horsepower Gains?

Cool thanks man! I'm gonna build an M20B25 and eventually (once I've saved up my pennies) get an ITB kit for it.

Edit: that kit is a lot cheaper than I expected.. I had heard it was in the 2000-2500 range.

To be honest, a chip, injectors, maf setups, etc would add a very marginal amount of whp.
I would invest in maintainece first ex: new wires, distributor, rotor/cap just basic stuff to get it running as good as possible and then jump over to power adders unless you have everything sorted already.

The m20 doesn't respond that well to little things but if you go all out like a 11:1 hell go 14:1 on e85 stroker 288+ cam ms3'd with good head work and itb's you'll see some nice figures in the 240+ whp range but that's like $$$$.

                    A reasonable setup would be:
2.7i 885 head on 2.7 eta block with super eta pistons
                    284+ cam
Long tube headers like bav auto, stahl, btb. Ie shorties and ebay headers are crap and dont do anything for performance but make sound.
                    Split second maf/miller war
                    Injectors
                    Chip
                    That's close to 180+whp

This is not just gains to the top end but made throughout the WHOLE rpm range.
From a lot of work with M10's, I would question RHD's claim that they gain 30 hp
across the whole curve. The stock intake is designed to bump streetable torque-
I can't imagine a 12" individual runner can do that as well.
And just off idle? There's not 30 rwhp at 1200 rpm, total!

That said, it's a pretty bit of kit for a very fair price (what's an AU dollar these days?)
and I'm sure it DOES sound nice... and might just add 30 hp where it's fun...

now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves

Read what it says again...That is not being claimed at all when I read it

All our testing has shown this kit to produce peak gains of around 30rwHp over the standard intake. This is not just gains to the top end but made throughout the WHOLE rpm range.

Peak gains 30whp but still gains at all rpm so it doesn't just add peak hp
