    415 Injectors and Tune

Is anyone running a tune/chip on their M20 after upgrading to 415's? I notice a little bit of hesitation when starting about every 5th time or so and I just recently got a weird misfiring issue after running them without a tune for about 6 months now.

Trying to narrow it down after I took everything apart and this is the only thing that I am suspicious about.

    Thanks

Still curious about this- can't seem to find any solid information.

Misfiring was solved with new O2 sensor and seafoaming. Now everything runs great- overall major improvement with the 415's but I still have that issue starting up every few times.

If it is necessary to run a recommended chip or tune for these- someone chime in.

Not sure about the 415 injectors, but I bought a set of Gen III injectors (4-pintle) from eBay and my car ran very rich on the stock chip. I ended up installing the stock injectors freshly cleaned by MEPEH and the car ran great again.

The idle was extremely rough after the ECU had lost memory (Batt. disconnect) and trimmed out a bit after some run time. The car ran fine on the interstate, but felt rich around town. I felt like I was on an old motorcycle and had to blip the throttle to keep the fuel burned off.

You will run rich without a tune, it's definitely a good idea.

its always better to get a chip that was made for the injectors you are using
