waste of money ,the intake tube are so big there is no restriction to airflow in the intake manifold, casting is already pretty smooth also

A lot of money for little gain.
The M20 is not an engine that has a bunch of horsepower just waiting to be unlocked.
You can get a few ponies here and there with bolt-ons/plug-ins, but if you want real power, you have to reengineer the whole package. You either need ITB's+compression+cam+displacement or you need a well engineered turbo setup. I hope that doesn't burst any bubbles. Some other cars go nuts with a few mods, but the E30 is not one of them. Save up $5-10K and do the engine all at once. For lower cost mods, focus on the chassis. It responds great to incremental improvements.

flow a head with and without a intake manifold and see what you get...hint the stock intake is not great, having said that extrude honing isnt the answer IMO. it may help but the BFYB doesnt seem to be great
there is a nice cast then CNC'd manifold as part of the RHD kit www.racehead.com.au.
if you plan on spending $$$ on intakes this is where people need to spend their $$$ IMO whether youplan on a ITB NA build or a single TB custom intake turbo thats the first thing you need

Agreed, skip the extrude hone. Not nearly worth the cost. The RHDs are what I'd be lookking at.
